As John moved into a consulting role, Jay took the helm as President of the Company. Like his dad, Jay is a Civil Engineering graduate from Clemson University and also obtained his Professional Engineering license. After a brief stint at Coca-Cola in Charlotte, Jay came back to Spartanburg to put his engineering and land development skills to work for the family business. Jay spends his time at the office cultivating relationships with builders, staying involved with local government leaders, negotiating with land owners, and keeping his finger on the pulse of daily production activities. While not at the office, Jay serves on the board of the GSP airport, is involved with several other non-profits and his church, First Presbyterian Spartanburg. He and his wife, Ali, escape to Edisto to fish when they can, go visit their son at Dartmouth, or catch a tennis match at Spartan High to cheer on their daughter.
